Cemental Tears in Endodontics

RSS

A cemental tear is a term used to denote delamination of cementum from the root surface. This cementum may become infected and lead to tooth failure. The clinical picture may mimic other entities such as root fracture or perio-endo lesions and may present as a diagnostic challenge.

In this short 15 minute case-based mini lecture, Dr Caldwell presents a number of cases he has encountered and discusses some of the findings present in the literature.
